INLINE HIGH SPEED DISPERSER

Ystral Inline High Speed dispersing machines work according to the principle of the rotor-stator-principle with a high shear energy. Because of the combined effect of different particle reduction effects, this machine achieves an extremely fine distribution of solid particles (suspensions) and liquids (emulsions) in a basic liquid.The continuous disintegration is achieved with a high shear gradient in a rotor-stator-system, that can be adapted to different processing aims.

Robust construction, precise dispersing tools and high efficiency production guarantee an economical result.

The machines are easy to install on existing tanks and offer an easy integration into the existing piping system. Rotor and stator rings with different sizes of slots allow an individual adaptation to the given processing task.

With the use of a frequency converter, the range of applications can be extended further.

BATCH HIGH SPEED DISPERSER

Ystral Batch High Speed Dispersers work according to the principle of a rotor-stator-system with a relatively high shear energy.

With centrifugal forces in the rotor, a circulation in the vessel can be achieved. By impact and shear action a strong dispersing effect is reached during the passage through the rotor-stator area. During dispersing, the product has to pass through the system again and again. This results in very fine suspensions, wet ground products or emulsions. The limit is reached, when the product in the vessel does not circulate anymore because of the limitation in viscosity and volume.

By an appropriate selection of the energy and dispersing tool, the system may be adapted to individual processing steps, viscosity and processing objectives. Controlling the speed by a frequency converter extends the field of applications for different products and volumes.

Similar to a fast rotating mixing system, the batch disperser is installed onto the top or in the bottom of a vessel. They are used for small to medium sized batches.

Viscosity over 3,000 mPas normally can't be treated economically with the Ystral Batch High Speed Disperser. In this case, the Ystral Inline High Speed dispersing system should be used.

INFORMATION & PRINCIPLE

With the combination of a narrow radial gap between rotor and stator and a very high peripheral speed, extremely high shear energy is produced. The product passes the gap between the rotor teeth and reaches the shear zone and leaves it through the stator slots. In the range of low to medium viscosity, the machine can pump the product by itself. The geometry of rotor and stator adapted to the processing objective determine the performance of the system.

The product is guided through the rotor-stator-system. The inner shear ring accelerates the product to its maximum speed, the stator shear ring reduces the speed to almost zero and the next rotor shear ring accelerates the product. This principle reduces particles and/or droplets very effective and distributes them homogeneously in the product.

INFORMATION & PRINCIPLE

Ystral Batch High Speed dispersing systems are offered in four different sizes with a power from 1.5 kW / 6,000 rpm up to 45 kW / 1,500 rpm or 1,000 rpm

The machines are delivered with mechanical seal systems either in single action or double action design. When selecting a double action mechanical seal, the system is being cooled and lubricated with a non-pressurized system in-between the product side and the atmospheric side.

A special design of the Ystral Batch High Speed  dispersing machine is available for installation into the bottom of a tank. This system is mainly selected in combination with an anchor stirrer and/or other centrically installed stirring elements. In this case, the disperser handles all dispersing and emulsifying task, while the stirrer takes care for the required circulation in the tank.

Typical Application:

  • Emulsions: Narrow droplet spectrum and short treatment times for vegetable and animal components of type W/O and O/W.

  • Pigment suspension: Good wetting of pigments and breaking of agglomerates results in a maximum concentration of dry contents

  • Dilution of SLES: By individually and controlled dosing the different components, an absolutely lump-free mixture can be achieved.

  • Homogenizing: Pastes, gels, Pectin, CMC powder and similar products are being dispersed absolutely lump-free

  • Dissolving: Colloidal and real solutions may be produced in shortest time. The energy brought into the system by the dispersing elements accelerate the dissolving process

  • Other applications are: extracting, splitting up fibres and disintegration of products
